Ingo Rademacher & Fiance Welcome Son

Daytime TV’s Ingo Rademacher (a.k.a. Jax from General Hospital) and fiancé Ehiku welcomed son Peanut Kai Rademacher on July 11. Peanut weighed 7 lbs, 6 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. A rep for the couple stated,

“Dad, mom and baby are all great. The cast and crew of General Hospital are very excited for Ingo, Ehiku and the entire Rademacher family. We wish them all the best during this important milestone.”

I am a huge GH fan and I just love Jax! Congrats to the happy couple – not sure about the name Peanut though! 😉

    They named him WHAT????

Thats funny!! We called our little girl peanut before she was born because we didnt know if she was a boy or girl, and she looked like a peanut on the ultrasound. It stuck after she was born, and even though her name is Katelyn, we still call her peanut sometimes. 🙂

celebrities should stop naming their children pet names. not only will it be absurd when they grow up to be mature adults and people still call them “peanut”, there will also be a lot of mocking done in school. not good for their mental mind.

  • Tracy

We also called our daughter Peanut when she was a baby. She was very small and delicate compared to her larger twin brother who seemed to explode in size overnight. Her real name is Caelin.

i don’t understand why everyone worries about kids getting teased over their names. even normal names can be made into something nasty by mean kids, and if it’s not the name they get teased about it’ll be something else. i don’t think people should let fear of 6 year olds determine the name they give their baby, it should be whatever they like, not whatever everyone thinks is safe and neutral.

There’s a difference between not picking something “safe” and “neutral” and picking something completely outrageous. And yes, even normal names can be made fun of, but most of the time, they aren’t. Saddling your kid with a name like Peanut is painting a giant target on his back and BEGGING other kids to make fun of him.

And then there’s beyond school – how many people are ever going to take him seriously with a name like Peanut? First impressions are everything, after all.

  • Hannah

We’ve called our daughter Peanut as a pet name since she was a baby, but I can’t imagine naming your child that with a straight face. I mean can you imagine when he gets to school and the teacher tries takes attendence with a straight face, “Peanut Rademacher?”. Poor kid.

  • Congrats to them! I also love GH. 🙂 Not really loving the name Peanut, but to each his own I guess.

  • Lauren

I love Ingo/GH too, but Peanut is an awful name! It’s adorable as an endearing nickname, but your legal name? Come on…

Kai is cute, maybe he’ll go by that name once he’s in school.

  • Congrats to you both on your new little boy!

I respect the name Ehiku & Ingo chose for their son. He is a beautiful baby. I call him Kai. Ehiku & Ingo are great parents, watching them interact with Kai is awesome. Im sure that he will be raised with enough encouragement, respect & great values to overcome anything. That’s How Ehiku was raised…”Ingo” must have gone thru quite a bit as a kid with his name. He turned out just fine.
