Denise Lewis Talks About Her Third Pregnancy

On giving her body to the baby: “Being pregnant has helped me feel more relaxed about my body. As an athlete I was in total control, but when you’re pregnant you learn to give yourself to the baby and accept your body will change.”

On keeping in shape: “Even though I’m no longer a competing athlete, I still like to keep in shape. My third baby’s due in October, so I’m doing yoga to stay supple and help with my breathing during childbirth. I also do light cardio exercise in the gym.”

On losing pregnancy weight: “After my second child I found it hard to get back into shape. I gained weight during the pregnancy and had just retired from athletics so I had no real desire to exercise. Plus finding time was difficult. But after a year I was back into a routine and I had my flat tummy back.”
