Salma Hayek married French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault on Valentine's Day! Hayek, 42, and Pinault, 46, were married on Saturday in the City Hall of the Sixth Arrondissement in central Paris. There had been reports that the couple – whose daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault, was born in September 2007 – had reunited after they had called off their engagement in July 2008.
Pinault is CEO of the luxury giant PPR and the son of Francois Pinault, whose fortune last year was estimated to be $16.9 billion by Forbes magazine.
Besides his daughter with Hayek, Pinaut also has two children from a previous marriage.
Congratulations to the happy couple!

I should probably say "oh, how sweet, they finally married" but I don't believe for one second that this is a love-match. So congratulations to you Francois for carefully choosing such an arm candy and Salma, congratulations to you for snatching a gazillionaire. With the fickle economy these days one can't have enough bucks.
Wow, this came out of left field! I really don't understand this relationship, but if they're happy... Congratulations!
Why wouldn't this be a love match?! Other than the ethnic differences, they're both well-known people accomplished in their fields. If people don't understand their relationship, then they've done a good job in protecting their privacy.

Although compared to her husband she does not even make 1/3 of his fortune, Salma is STILL a very successful woman who has her own film production/a humanitarian/actor and savvy businesswoman..I am pretty sure there is a pre-nup drawn somewhere as well.
it worked out pretty good for both of them; she's a hot actress who ended up marrying a billionaire and he's a billionaire who married a hot actress. yay for them! (sigh)
