Marc Anthony Takes The Night Shift

The Maid in Manhattan star reports,

“I can ask him to get up in the middle of the night if one of the kids wakes up. Every single time he’s say OK. That’s a huge thing. If you have a partner who doesn’t think it’s their job… then that’s really hard.”

The pair recently went all out for the twins’ first birthday. Fifty guests – including Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and their daughter Harlow – joined the family for a garden party celebration. “There were two moonbouncers, a clown and great music and they had even got a cocktail company, The Margarita Man, to make non-alcoholic slush drinks,” a source revealed.

I’ve got the feeling she ALWAYS shoves Marc out of bed in the middle of the night..or the nanny. A diva cant risk disrupting her beauty sleep.

If *She’s Asking Him* to get up in the middle of the night, they’re not exactly “equal partners” are they?

For us, I always had to take the night shift. As a nursing mom, the little ones usually needed Mommy. Now that we have two munchkins, he takes the older girlie, and I take the younger girlie. They both seem to wake up all the time, so it is pretty fair.

While I was nursing I enjoyed getting up when she did in the night. I would sneak her in bed with us and we would both fall asleep. Then we woke up as a family together in the morning. Now that I am not nursing she is actually sleeping through the night but if she does wake up I get up on week nights and my boyfriend wakes up with her on weekends. It is a time that won’t last forever and the small things are what we will remember in the future. The snuggles we get in the middle of the night while we rock in her chair, The house is silent and dark And she falls asleep on us. We gladly take turns because who would want to miss that?
