Who Will Gain Custody Of Michael Jackson's Children?

Update: RadarOnline reports that Michael Jackson's wishes were for his mother, Katherine Jackson, to raise his children if anything ever happened to him. Joe and Katherine Jackson's attorney, Debra Opri reveals Michael's wishes:
"Katherine will be the custodial parent for the kids. It was understood that Katherine is the best person to take care of the children as she can provide a stable, loving environment for the kids. The children will remain with Katherine, and she should raise them."
Opri addressed the possibility of Debbie Rowe, Prince and Paris' mother, gaining custody by stating, "I believe she surrendered her custodial rights to the children, but I'm sure that this will eventually be heard in court or arbitration."
Opri also stated that the Jackson family is grieving and that the funeral for Michael will most likely happen within the week.

With the untimely death of the King of Pop yesterday, questions arise regarding custody of his three surviving children: 12-year-old Prince Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., 11-year-old Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and 7-year-old Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.
Us magazine reports that Debbie Rowe remains the legal parent to Prince and Paris, her two children with the late Michael Jackson.
But her former attorney said he has "no idea" if she will take on custody now that the legendary singer had passed. No matter what she chooses, "I support her 1000 percent," lawyer Iris Finsilver states.
Rowe and Jackson were married in 1996 (he was a patient in the dermatologist's office, where she worked as a nurse). The two divorced in 1999, but during their custody hearing, she agreed to give up her parental rights, insisting Jackson was a good father.
Rowe's attorney said that she is grieving the loss of her ex-husband: "She is inconsolable," Finsilver states. "But she will always love Michael and she always considered him a dear friend."
Brian Oxman, the Jackson family attorney for 20 years, confirmed to Us that the kids are currently "in the care of a nanny" and are staying with their grandmother, Katherine: "Ms. Jackson will care for them and I'm sure there will be all kinds of discussions that will take place about the kids."

i honestly didn't even custody! i pray that they go to someone who will take care of them as well as he did.
^^* i didn't even know he had custody*
Who gets custody of his youngest child, because Debbie's not his mother???
Debbie should not get custody of the kids. She's never been a mother to them! She's simply a surrogate. She should only have the same rights a surrogate has. The kids have grown up with Michael and his family, if anything it's his family who should get custody.
IF and only IF Debbie somehow got custody, it would surely only be of the older 2 and that's really unfair to all the kids.
I think the sad thing is that both Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe - don't know if there any other people involved - have proved themselves crap parents already.
Katherine and Joe raised the likes of Michael and LaToya and there's a mountain of evidence about how their lives were blighted by these abusive parents. Debbie Rowe took millions and allowed her kids to be raised by a suspected child abuser.
Exactly Carrie, she's not their mother. She simply donated the eggs. For most parents (I know there are some who have problems), no amount of money would convince them to give up their own flesh & blood.
I think the best person to take all three would be Debbie Rowe but she may not want them, I just hope someone who loves them takes good care of them and give them the care they need. May god bless those three children.
Please Debbie wasn't a mother before. Why now? Kids are not stupid this may cause more damage. Kids may now question why she didn't want them. This may make it harder for them to grieve properly for their father. If Debbie Rowe tries to get her kids it because she's picking up those checks. The kids should stay together. How can Debbie care for all three when she didn't care for her two. Pleaseeeeee
Debbie might fight for custody b/c although his estate was heavily in debt he owned the rights to the Beatles song catalog and his own music. Money is already being made on MJ memorabilia and will continue. They could even turn Neverland into a Graceland stranger things have happened. Elvis was doing poorly financially when he died and look what happened there. Let's hope this doesn't happen.
Some stories reported on Katherine being in poor health so that might be a problem. Regardless MJ loved her but in his book 'Moonwalk' stated he was severely abused by his dad Joe and she did not stop any of that/was in denial. So that's sad. Janet seems normal but who knows- the sisters have what seems to be body dysmorphic syndrome I mean, their extreme plastic surgery says it all. ALmost as bad as Michael's. This is going to be tough all around. One thing I can say is it motivated me to start the wheels for a formal will for our son - anyone can go anytime. I do not want custody hanging in the balance if I go !
Katherine and Joe f'ed up their entire family and some of you people actually think she should get a chance to do it again? She stood by and let the old man beat the hell out of Michael and his brothers and sisters, the emotional abuse was probably worse than the physical; and you think she should have them? Best thing for those kids is to never see that family again. Debbie may not be the best mom in the world but she's got a better chance of not screwing them up than the Jackson family.
I dont know but may be Debbie Rowe will be a better one just may be..
Debbie Rowe should not even be considered as she is just a surrogate for the two older children and has no blood or legal connection to the youngest for all anybody knows. She sold those children for monetary reasons on two separate occasions and appears to be more interested in that than the best interest of the children. If Michael wanted him mom to take custody of them in his absense (with the help of the nanny he named) I would be more inclined to go with his wishes. What relationship and/or contact did Debbie have with the kids before Michael's passing? She seems to be the least likely person of all to be considered a fit guardian. She forfeited any right to those children in the past and if would be a shame if they were given to her.
After his death there is a big question that who will get the custody of Jackson's children.
