Angelina Jolie Takes Zahara & Shiloh To Ethiopia

Angelina Jolie‘s recent goodwill mission in Africa was also a homecoming for her 4-year-old daughter Zahara.

The 34-year-old Tomb Raider star took a side trip during a recent goodwill mission to Kenya, flying to Ethiopia for two days with her daughters Zahara, 4, and Shiloh, 3. This marked the first time ‘Z’ returned to her home country since being adopted four years ago.

One of the reasons for the trip was to find a suitable location to build a TB and AIDS clinic in Zahara’s name, PEOPLE reports. Zahara’s big brother Maddox, 8, has an organization in his name in Cambodia that assists ill and underprivileged kids.

Goodwill Ambassador Jolie also visited Dabaab Refugee Camp, home to nearly 300,000 Somali refugees, with nearly 7,000 more arriving every month due to the food crisis in Somalia where close to 3.6 million people are starving.

This picture was taken as they were leaving a dance class. I’m not sure if anything has changed since I was a child, but my dance instructor made black leotards and tights mandatory. Perhaps that’s why the kids are dressed entirely in black. Angelina does tend to favor dark colors, but even if her children have black on, they usually have another color complementing it. Rarely do I see the children in black from head to toe.

In that way she, too, was able to visit her big sister´s home country. Those sisters seem to be inseparable and don´t want to be apart from each other for long.
