Drea De Matteo: “I Have To Make Another Baby Fast”

Desperate Housewives star Drea De Matteo has one important item on her to do list these days: “I have to make another baby fast,” the 37-year-old actress tells USA Today. “I’m old, so I need to work fast.”

Drea and fiancé Shooter Jennings, 30, are parents to nearly 2-year-old Alabama Gypsy Rose, whom Drea calls her “idol”.

“Everyone thinks she looks exactly like Shooter, but she looks exactly like my baby pictures. But in life, she looks exactly like him now,” says the former Sopranos star. “She’s wild. She’s the most amazing. People think I’m crazy, but I really do believe I might have made the most important human being alive. Her personality is unbelievable, and she’s so smart.”

Drea also goes on to say that her baby gets to visit her on set and run around her trailer: “She’s back and forth and crazy and coloring all over the place. This week, I’m bringing her here because I feel like I haven’t had a chance to see her.”

“This is a perfect job,” she adds. “I work maybe three days a week. I’m really lazy.”

Drea is currently filming Desperate Housewives in LA but admits she is homesick for the East Coast: “I’d love to get a New York show,” she says. “That’s my goal and dream.”
