Courtney Love Loses Legal Control Of Frances
| Dec 14, 2009 by JENNY SCHAFER |
Courtney Love has lost legal control over her 17-year-old daughter Frances Bean Cobain, TMZ reports.
In papers filed Friday at Los Angeles Superior Court, temporary guardianship was granted to Wendy O’Connor and Kimberly Cobain, mother and sister of Frances' late father, Kurt Cobain.
The guardianship is for both Frances’ personal and financial well-being. However, the guardians will not have control over the trust that was created for Frances after her father’s death.
This isn’t the first time Love has lost legal control of her daughter. In October 2003, Frances was ordered to live with Wendy O’Connor following Love’s arrest for an attempted break-in to her ex-boyfriend’s home, a drugs overdose and a suicide threat. It wasn't until January 2005 that Love regained custody.
