Hugh Jackman: Ava Loves The Paparazzi!

Hugh Jackman, doting dad to son Oscar, 9 ½, and daughter Ava, 4 ½, made an appearance on The Jay Leno Show recently and talked about the ever-present paparazzi. Apparently, sweet Ava loves to pose for the paps!

Oscar’s always like, ‘Oh, the paparazzi, I hate the paparazzi,’” Hugh said. “And my daughter is like, ‘Paparazzi!’ [Strikes a pose] She loves it!”

When Jay showed Hugh a picture of Ava sporting a goofy grin at the shutterbugs, the 41-year-old Wolverine star couldn’t help but burst out laughing. “Look at that! Hamming it up for the paparazzi. She’s going to regret that on her 21st,” he joked.

And if Ava has her way, we're going to be seeing many more fun shots. “I’m like, ‘Let’s go this way.’ And she’s like, ‘But Dad, the paparazzi are this way,’” Hugh said.

Hugh went on to say that his son doesn't share the same warm sentiments. Last month, when Hugh and Oscar were enjoying a friendly snowball fight with Cate Blanchett's three sons, Oscar aimed a few at the prying paps!

There were about 15 [of them and] there were about eight of us throwing snowballs,” he chuckles. “And [Oscar] said, ‘Dad, I’d just give anything to throw a snowball at the paparazzi,’ and I said, ‘Well, why don’t you do it son.’ I’m a good father, lessons all the way!”
