Padma Lakshmi's Baby Will Have A "Classically Indian Sanskrit Name"
| Jan 14, 2010 by DESIREE FAWN |

Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi has kept rather hush-hush on the details of her pregnancy, however, she has says that her first child will definitely have a name which represents her culture.
“I’m going to name the child an Indian name – I’m Indian,” says the 39-year-old chef. “So don’t expect to see and Anglicized name – it will be a classically Indian Sanskrit name.”
Padma, who may have accidently revealed the sex of her baby during a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, says that it won’t be “a fancy name” but that “it will be after someone in [her] family”.
The father of her child, due this Spring, has not been revealed.
