Jamie Lynn Spears Splits From Casey Aldridge

Zoey 101 star Jamie Lynn Spears has split from Casey Aldridge, the father of her 18-month-old daughter Maddie, Us reports.

The younger sister of Britney Spears made headlines in 2007 when she announced that she was pregnant at the age of 16.

A year later, rumors spread that the young couple were engaged after she began wearing a diamond ring. Around the same time, she was spotted wearing a shirt that read, "The Rumors Are True."

Months after her 17th birthday, Jamie Lynn gave birth to their daughter Maddie Briann in June 2008 near her Kentwood, La., hometown, where she owns a home.

Shortly after Maddie's birth, Lynne Spears said she was proud of her daughter but was sad at all the scrutiny she endured. "Nobody wants their children to have these kinds of hardships or bumps," Lynne said. "Who would want that?"
