Keith Urban Says Nicole Inspires Him

Covering People magazine's country special issue, sexy singer Keith Urban describes how his wife Nicole Kidman and their daughter Sunday Rose have changed his music, and his life.

"It's been a profound impact [on my songwriting] to meet somebody who offered me a life and helped me become the person I wanted to be," the 42-year-old Grammy-winner tells People.

Keith reveals that his song My Heart Is Open was inspired very directly by his relationship with Nicole.

"My wife and I had been out a couple of times and I wondered how she felt about me. It came out as, 'How is your heart?' She said, 'It's open.' My God, what a beautiful answer."

Of the birth of little Sunday Rose in July 2008, Keith says, "I felt the power of love in all its phases. There was an expansion of color and joy."

So might his daughter - who he says has given him "a new joy, a new sense of purpose" - be his muse for his upcoming album? We'll just have to wait and see.

"The next few months will be all about writing. I don't know how she's going to be a part of that yet."
