Colin Farrell: Sobriety Has Made Me More Appreciative

Colin Farrell seems to be an adoring dad to his boys James, 6, and Henry, 4 months, but he's the first to admit that wasn't always the case.

The Irish actor, once known for his wild partying ways, says that he's much more appreciative of his both kids and his career now that he's sober.

Of being a dad, he admits, "There were times when I was with my son and I was wondering how long I would have to spend before I could go off and get p***ed. Now – two hours in the pub, then I get bored. I was at that party for long enough."

Colin also adds, “It’s put more focus on my career. I’m a lot more appreciative over what I have. For years I was adamantly trying to show that I wasn’t worthy or that I didn’t know why it happened to me. I enjoy it a lot more now.”

Last year the Crazy Heart star credited his son James with inspiring him to turn his life around: "I don't know if I would be here if I hadn't had him. He was a huge part of me going in and making certain changes in my life."

I love Colin and I'm a big fan of his but "two hours in the pub and then I get bored". I don't know maybe its because I'm not a big club/pub/bar goer but for a person who is in recovery from alcoholism two hours in a pub seems a bit much lol. But he seem like a great dad and its great that he got healthy and sober for his boys. So congrats Colin!!!
