Jamie & Jools Oliver Expecting Baby No. 4!

Less than a year after welcoming their third daughter Petal Blossom Rainbow last April, TV chef and author Jamie Oliver and his wife Jools are expecting again!

The UK's The Daily Mail reports the happy news this morning, publishing this statement from the "thrilled" couple, who are also parents to girls Poppy Honey, 7 1/2, and Daisy Boo, 6 1/2:

"Jamie and Jools Oliver are delighted to announce that they are expecting their fourth child."

It's a pretty safe bet that Jamie will be hoping for a boy this time around. When Jools was expecting last year, he admitted, “It would be great to have a boy, as I am in a totally estrogen-filled house," before adding, "But I really don’t mind as long as it’s healthy”.

Congratulations to Jamie and Jools!

oh good grief what terrible name are they going to come up with for this one? Cinnamon Chocolate Sprinkles. It should be outlawed to name your child ridiculous things like celebrities do.

Their kids name's are Petal, Poppy, and Daisy. Hardly terrible or anymore outrageous than what non celebs do give their children. I'd prefer these over the 10 millionth Addison, Madison, Ava, Emma and Mackenzie's (all spelled Uneeklee by the way) that pervade every cul de sac, elementary, and middle school nowadays.

Anyway, hope they get their boy this time around.

LOL!!! Co-sign, Anonymous!!! If you like Sophia/Ava/Emma/Madison/Isabella/Kayla, fine, but don't knock other people for choosing names that might make their children a little more unique among their peers.

yes because the name Petal Blosson Rainbow is TOTALLY normal. NOT. Neither is Daisy BOO or POPPY Honey for crying out loud. Name your kids actual names not food or objects or nature.

So you have a problem with the names Violet, Rose, Taylor, Hunter, River etc? Does everyone call you by your first and middle name. Just take your own advice and don't name your kids after food, objects, or nature.

CelineDionFanForever said:

No I'm not really a fan of those names either. Taylor? that's a normal kids name. River is a bit odd and Violet is a color as well as a plant. Why does my middle name have to do with anything? Its a normal middle name as is my first name and people only call me by my first name. I don't plan on naming MY kids any freakish names. They will have normal kids names like kids are supposed to. They aren't going to be named Tu Morrow or Audio Science or Banjo or Love Story or Puma or Pilot Inspektor or Moxie Crimefighter or Cmeara, or Seven or Kal El or Fifi Trixibelle, Peaches Honeyblossom , Little Pixie. Those aren't names, those are just weird.

Taylor is a normal kids name now, but it orginally started out as a surname for someone whose trade was as a Tailor. I'm sure the first time it was used as a first name someone thought it was weird too. I know that Violet is a color and plant as well thank you, Poppy and Daisy are plants just the same so I'm not sure what your point was on that one.

I asked if you were called by your first and middle names because you seemed to imply that just b/c these girls have unusual middle names that they must be called Daisy Boo, and Poppy Honey all of the time. Like you, I'm sure their family and friends just call them Daisy and Poppy.

you can't use logic with people like that, they're just ignorant.

I love names Poppy, Daisy and Petal (and for those who find them weird Poppy and Daisy are hugely popular in UK). Hope they continue the theme even if they have a boy.

I hope they get a boy but I know they will be just as happy with a girl.

i gave my children unique names. i think jamie oliver gave his kids SYMBOLIC names close to their hearts...and ppl judge them for that...how mean and cruel...would u like jamie oliver and jools to be curel about ur childrens names....

some ppl live inside the box and become shriveled up old hags who think they are great critics but infact they are shallow and cold hearted...

way to go jools and jamie..cant wait to find out the next bub..hope its a boy xxx

Daisy & Poppy are GORGEOUS names ! the middle names are abit unique but sweet, and they'll be called Daisy & Poppy by everyone.
I LOVE THOSE NAMES
& do believe you should call your child whatever you like (within reason)
but i'm not a huge fan of 'petal' at all, and especially her middle names.
They don't float my boat at all, but each to their own & Poppy & Daisy are just lovely.

I hope they get a baby boy this time! Bless them.

With four girls of my own, a house full of estrogen can be a wonderful one! Love the Oliver family and wish them the best. Thank you for sharing your lives with the public in such a gracious manner!

Love the girls names, and the fact that Jamie and Jools are caring, thoughtful parents. A childs name should be something that is personal and has been thought of with individual reasons in mind, which is obviously the case with the Olivers. The fact that the Olivers are caring lovely parents should be more important than the names that hey have chosen for their daughters

Get a grip...stop being so judgemental
I'd call my kid 'sausage' if it meant they would be happy and healthy

For the person who wrote that these names are popular in the UK. I'm British and I don't know a single person called Daisy or Poppy. They are not overly popular and the press do laugh at the names celebs pick but on the other hand some of it is cultural. Names like Madison, Macy, Zachary, Taylor etc that are used in the states would generally not even be considered in the UK. Again, people would laugh at these names or assume their parents were American. I don't have a problem with Jamies' name choices per say with the names and they are cute for children but just think when they grow up. Who would you like your doctor to be, a Dr Katherine Oliver or Dr Petal Blossom Rainbow Oliver?? I know who I would want.

I think a lot of the people posting need to get a grip...
I like the names. They are not just another Tom, Dick, or Harry... Their names make them unique as the people that they are.
And... Dwight... Get a life... It is people like you who have no respect for others that grow up to be the grouchy old man with no friends wondering why no one visits him in the old age home... I am sure your mother told you that if you didn't have anything nice to say to not say anything at all... Well here is a chance to take her advice and shut up!!! (I mean that in the nicest possible way)... 8^)
