Katherine Heigl Wants To "Be A Little Bit More Of A Mom"
| Mar 19, 2010 by DESIREE FAWN |

Though she has yet to confirm whether or not she’ll be leaving Grey’s Anatomy, Katherine Heigl says her future revolves around her new daughter.
“I think I’m just gonna try and keep it a little more mellow,” she tells PEOPLE. “And be a little bit more of a mom, since that’s a big part of my life now.”
Katherine and husband Josh Kelley became parents in September 2009 when they adopted their now 16 ½-month-old daughter Naleigh from South Korea.
Rumors that the 31-year-old actress will not be returning to Grey’s gained some merit when she did not return to the set after taking a three month break to get to know her daughter.
I took those 3 months off and I realized how very, very important is my family is to me and I want to be more available to them.
Katherine says that her family “is wonderful”, adding, "They're the icing on the cake."
