Amanda Peet Gushes Over Her Girls

Actress Amanda Peet had a very good excuse for bailing on last month’s scheduled visit to the Late Show with David Letterman – she was in labor!

The mom-of-two made up for her last minute absence by appearing on the talk show earlier this week, though she clearly had babies on the brain.

Struggling to recall the plot of her new film Please Give,, Amanda said, “I have a foggy brain right now… Oh my gosh. I have no business being here!”

She had plenty to say when talk turned to her girls, though. Revealing that her 3-year-old daughter Frances Pen is still adjusting to being a big sister to little Molly June, she explained, ‘It’s been good, she’s a little more moody than usual but it’s not directed at the baby. It’s more like, ‘Frankie eat your broccoli,’ and she starts screaming. She wants to have a baby in her belly and she wants to breastfeed.”

The 38-year-old actress also shared how she and her husband David Benioff settled on a name for their newest addition.

“We had a hard time picking a name, we were fighting about it a lot. You can’t leave the hospital until you sign a paper with the name so we got right up to the point where the nurse was trying to usher us out of the hospital and the car seat was in the car and we still couldn’t choose between Maya June and Molly June,” Amanda admits. “Finally David had a great idea, he tore off two little pieces of paper and wrote a name on each paper and put them behind his back and I chose one of them and it was Maya – and then I got really upset!”

The video she shared of Molly June was too precious!

Actually you can leave a hospital without registering a name (as proven by other celebrities who have done it), you usually have a few weeks to decide. It’s beyond me why hospitals put such pressure on women who have just gone through labour to decide NOW, if they’re not sure.

Any way I love Molly June.
