Angelina Jolie & Kids Land In Japan

Busy mom Angelina Jolie was all smiles as she touched down at Japan's Narita International Airport today with her kids Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5, and Shiloh, 4, in tow (July 26). Two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne didn't join the crew on the overseas flight.

Japan is the latest stop on Angie's globe-trotting tour to promote her new film Salt. The 35-year-old beauty recently talked about taking her kids on the road with her:

I feel like it's this great gift that I've been able to give to my children, that because of work, and financially, we're able to live abroad. I think its the greatest! When we were in Italy, they were learning Italian, and they were travelling and learning about the history of Italy. We drove them to Florence and showed them the statue of David. Then when we were in France, they learned the history of France and the French Revolution. Also in these countries [they see first-hand] that they're different from America. People do take a lot more time to slow down and be with family and have a lot of quality time, so that's been good for all of us.... We tend to be very rushed in America, so Europe has been a good pace for us."

shiloh looks like a boy.. it's honestly ridiculous that they let HER do this.. Such a pretty face.. I am all for letting them be themselves, she has boy written all over her!

Why do you care? It's not harmful, and she's not your child, so what business is it of yours?

Shiloh is beautiful. Girls her age who dress in tutus and princess-wear are nauseating. She seems to have a mind of her own, rather than following the Disney crowd like a sheep.

I can imagine that some women feel threatened by that.

E, according to Angelina herself, Shiloh has expressed outright that she wants be a boy. So I suppose it's a good thing, then, that she does have "boy written all over her", right? I think it's great that Angelina's letting her be.

Shiloh looks like a well cared for and well loved child. When I was 3, I wanted to be an alligator wrestler. My grandmother crocheted me a 3 foot alligator to practice on. When I was seven I told my dad I wanted to be a boy, and he very frankly told me that there were surgeries I could have as an adult if I wanted to be a boy then.

I was a tomboy, hated my girly name, but in the end, I renamed myself, and embrace both my birth gender in motherhood, and acknowledge my gender issues. I self identify as gender-neutral. I am androgynous by nature, and I thought all my life about that conversation with my father.

I'm 36 and I never felt the need to transition from female to male because I accepted that I have strong traits of both genders. If Shiloh's parents continue to do their MORE than stellar job of raising her with love and acceptance, she will grow up to love and accept herself

By the way, do you tell all the mothers you see with little girls who have short hair and wear trousers and t-shirts or polo shirts that they are ridiculous to let their little girls dress that way? Somehow I doubt you're that brave in real life.

Shiloh, at the end of the day, looks like Shiloh. Period.

You've just contradicted yourself, you said why do they let her do this then said "I am all for letting them be themselves". To be honest I am more worried about Angelina! She looks really thin and gaunt

Who really cares! I mean, with the world in the state it is in right now - with the economy in the tank, with the morals of this country down the toilet, and we care about the haircut of some starlit's kid? Really? Angelina could be missing from the world and I wouldn't care! Give us something to really be concerned about!

Cute family!!!

Angelina looks terribly thin here. She reminds me of my aunt who has had problems with eating ever since I can remember. I really hope Angelina is fine.

Those are some happy, beautiful kids right there...Brad & Angelina seem to be doing a really good job of making sure the kids are as normal and grounded as is possible in their situation. Kudos.

On TV they aired a video of Maddox slapping Pax in the face twice. Angelina laughed then told him to stop. It seems like they mostly let them do as they please.

Oh, great -- an expert weighs in! This truly is a screwed up family -- the TV clip proves it, apparently.

E.M. said:

He was covering his mouth, not slapping him. It looks like a family in-joke because Pax was laughing and so was Zahara. They look like happy, funny typical siblings.

I love it when the haters lie about something when there's clear evidence they are wrong. The video and photos clearly show Maddox grabbing Pax's face not slapping him because he kept repeating some phrase. Pax is even laughing it.

I find it so funny that some people feel they can interperit so much and assume so much about a person just by viewing one photo. I saw the TV clip too and found it funny. How many of us wrangled 4 kids under 9 at the same time. If they were all too perfect and absolutely well behaved then I would worry. But they seem normal. She calmly told her son "not now Maddox". Had it been me I would have said "If you don't settle down now you will get it when you get home".

I love how it's either a girl has to look butch or she has to be a pink princess - no in between. In reality girly girls who wpn't wear jeans or tennis shoes are weird and butch girls who want to dress like boys are weird. They're the extremes, therefore they're weird. Most girls are a little of both. Personally I think Shiloh looks like a boy because she has a boy's face. Afterall she looks like her dad and grampa. If she had a more feminine face then all the boy clothes and short hair wouldn't seem so butch to people. If Z dressed like that, she'd still look like a girl. Facial features make a big difference.

The JP children are close in age and under 9, there is always a lot of fooling around in homes with 4/5 children close in age. Just goes with the territory. They are pretty well behaved all things considered. Lovely family

I saw the video and I saw how the kids(Pax,Z and Mad) were laughing after Maddox tapped Pax on the mouth Pax had been repeating some phrase over and over before the tap.Angie was laughing before Mad tapped Pax on mouth she scolded him immediately in the video. Anyone with kids especially boys know they are always touching or teasing each other etc. I see they are in Korea now .
