Diablo Cody Welcomes Baby Boy Marcello Daniel!

It’s a boy!

Congratulations to Juno screenwriter Diablo Cody, 32, and husband Dan Maurio who welcomed their first child Tuesday morning (July 27).

The new mom took to Twitter to share her happy news:

We had our boy early this morning! Marcello Daniel Maurio, 7lbs, 2 oz, lightly mustachioed.

The couple, who married in the summer of 2009, announced their pregnancy in April.

congrats to Diablo and her husband love the name Marcello. partly due to the fact that it's my favorite Italian actors name correct that would be Marcello Mastorijiani who was a frequent co-star of Sophia Loren's. and the rest flows well with it. though wasn't he born early he was supposed to be due in mid august.

By the way, Dan also has a daughter from a previous relationship. I think she'd be about.... eight? I actually have no idea, I just remember there being a small child belonging to Dan who was mentioned in Diablo's book. I think they nicknamed her Peanut.
