Kim Kardashian Plans For Motherhood

Though she’s not ready to settle down just yet, reality star Kim Kardashian says she looks forward to one day being a mom like her big sister Kourtney.

“In five years I would hope to be settled down, have a baby or two,” the 29-year-old Allure cover girl reveals. “I always thought, ‘For sure, when I’m 30, I’ll have four kids, like my mom.”

Though she doesn’t have a baby just yet, Kim already has a plan for breastfeeding firmly in place.

“They say that after a year, there’s no nutrients,” she says.

Right… Your milk just magically turns to water after a year? This makes absolutely no sense. Your child should be eating solids by then and could easily be weaned, but not because your breastmilk lacks nutritional value suddenly.

I’m a huge Kardashian fan….and even I am confused by her statement. Bizarre!

…..Where on earth did she get that information from?

what she said isn’t true if a doctor recomends breastfeeding it’s usually for up to 18 months or as long as the child wants. why doesn’t she ask a real star that’s actually breastfed their children like for example Vanessa Redgrave. oh yeah she’s dumb and desperate for publicity that’s all this is. she can’t have her cake and eat it to

Just last month she said she did not want any children and that her nephew Mason was the best birth control argument she had ever seen. She changes her empty mind every month I guess.

Wow, what is it with these celebrities (or in Kim’s case, faux-lebrities) making uneducated comments. I swear it’s just for attention.

american academy of pediatrics recommends breastfeeding for up to 2 years where possible. i doubt “they” would say this if breastmilk lacked nutrients after one year. complete bull. same with cows milk then eh? or goats milk? this is silliness. if you don’t decide to breastfeed or decide to breastfeed for a year just say its because that is what you want – don’t make up stories. this bothers me so much. who cares if you bf for 6 weeks, 6 months, one year or two??? just do what you want and stop creating “reasons” to justify your decisions to everyone! on this point everyone should leave each other alone about it – then people wouldn’t feel the need to defend their decisions either way!

“The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that breastfeeding continue for at least 12 months, and thereafter for as long as mother and baby desire. The World Health Organization recommends continued breastfeeding up to 2 years of age or beyond. Beyond one year, as the variety and volume of solid foods gradually increase, breast milk remains an ideal addition to the child’s diet.”
This is from the CDC website. So actually AAP only recommends one year and beyond and it is the WHO that recommends two years and beyond. Nevertheless, Kardashian needs to do some research before perpetuating this nonsense.
