NOT TRUE. Billy Bob said he NEVER legally adopted Maddox, only Angelina did. He has said this several times in interviews. He said he went along with her wishes in the initial stages of the adoption, but did not ever legally finalize it, and he was not listed as a parent in the divorce decree. Angelina was always a single parent to Maddox until Brad Pitt adopted Maddox. Billy Bob never had visitation or anything else, Maddox's last name was just Jolie until it became Jolie-Pitt.

I think Billy and Angelina loved each other deeply but Billy Bob noticed the change in his wife and felt he couldn't support her and whatever she was taking on. Kudos to Angelina for sticking it out on whatever journey she started. She adopted Maddox, started her humanitarian and now look at her now...still adopting and doing her humanitarian work only now she has a man who is not afraid to reach beyond himself. People should realize that for relationships to work, you have to realize the reason for coming together either to make something, build something and not just to look in each others eyes!

I agree with anonymous @11:55. There was much love between Angelina and BBT, but she was his 5th wife. He thought he had a beautiful much younger wife to have fun with and travel with his band. When she began to mature and grow up out of the mold Billy Bob had her in he could not handle that change. She became a mature woman, not the Angelina he wanted. I think she was really hurt by his leaving 2 weeks after she came home with Maddox, I think she was blindsided. But she picked up the pieces of her life, mothered her son, and moved on as all grownups do after a crisis. She has been with the UNHCR since 2000, over 10 years now, she is the mother of 6 kids, and she has a partner in Brad who supports her in all ways just as she supports him in all ways. I think at times BBT must ask himself why he could not be the man he should have been. However BBT has not been the best father, so for Maddox things worked out for him and his siblings to have a great Dad who truly loves them all.

Anon1, I just could not let your lies stand. Angelina was not and has never been a heroin addict at any time. She and BBT did dabble in drugs together BUT neither was an addict. BBT never thought Angelina was unstable, indeed he has spoken of the fact that she is and was far too intelligent for him to deal with. Jon Voight tried to stop Angelina from her first UNHCR trip in every way he could, he claimed he was concerned that she did not know the danger she was in. JonV told Billy Bush he never even knew about the troubles Angelina had as a teenager like cutting and depression, this is recorded in a tv interview for any to see your lies. JonV did not spend much time with his kids, he only wanted to dictate their lives, and when they went against his commands, he went public with his demands. JonV was a terrible father and he admits that these days.

Angelina used a legitimate agency to adopt Maddox. The bogus agency you speak of was not the one she used. Angelina's history was no different from that of many who adopted kids. She went through the required background check and home visits and was found to be qualified to adopt. Why you are here with these total lies is beyond me when the verifiable and true facts are readily available. It was not an unusual practice at the time of Maddox's adoption for some adoption agencies to deliver children to the new parent when the circumstances dictated it. This still occurs in some instances to this day.

I wonder at your sanity to be here with this rewriting of the true facts. Your life must be mired in misery. You deserve no pity as you are vile to lie as you have done.

Anon1 you really have no life your constant posts about Angelina being heroin addict are not only sad but is getting old and just show how much help you really need. I mean you write post after post about Angelina being heroin addict we get it you don’t like her I don’t know what you’re trying to prove by your constant posts. Angelina along with a lot of other celebrities and normal people have used drugs in their past that does not make them a bad person nor does it make them a bad parents. Angelina never tried to hide the fact that she did drug’s she been very open about her dark past .

Anon1 A I’m not a big fan of Angelina Jolie but where did you get your facts from you must not know what drug addicted is because a person who is addicted acts like Courtney Love, Lindsay Lohan, and Amy Winehouse exedra My best friend was addicted to drugs and Angelina never acted like her. my friend could not focused at work or at home the only think she could think about was getting her next fix she lost her job and would steal from family members, friends any one she could, she did not care how she hurt just as long as she had money to buy her drugs it was scary being around her. She went from being a sweet and loving person to hateful mean person I nor her family new anymore. If Angelina was drug addicted then why was it not reported by people she work for/with just like with Lindsay Lohan started to come to work late or not show up at all or her behavior started to change it was reported every were online in the news paper on the covers of magazines Angelina is a bigger star then Courtney Love, Lindsay Lohan and Amy Winehouse if she was drug addicted it would have been every were. She done weird thing yes but none of the thing she’s done is Singe’s of a drug addicted person.
