MamaRoo: The Baby Seat that Soothes like Mom or Dad Does

We’ve never seen a parent vibrate like a bouncy seat or swing like a swing. But we’ve seen thousands of parents scoop their little ones up in their arms and bounce and sway. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a baby seat that could soothe and entertain baby by imitating mom or dad’s natural movements? Now there is! That’s exactly what the mamaRoo does. It moves like you do.

The mamaRoo bounces up and down and sways from side to side, just like parents do when comforting their babies. It’s the only infant seat with five unique motions, all based on the natural motions of parents. Plus it’s got built-in nature sounds, an ipod dock, a reclining seat, and toy balls patterned after classical works of art!

You and your baby choose which motion he or she is in the mood for:

  • Car Ride: A figure eight on its side
  • KangaRoo: Lots of up-and-down, less side-to-side
  • Rock-A-Bye: Low on the sides, high in the middle
  • Ocean Wave: Around in a big circle

Hundreds of people helped develop the mamaRoo. While medical experts pushed for speeds that would really stimulate a baby’s inner ear, some moms preferred slower movements. So mamaRoo’s speed is adjustable. Slow down for rest or speed up to play. Of course every one is always safe.

The mamaRoo is high tech, stylish, and makes a great gift. Bill Horn and Scout Masterson (The Guncles of the Oxygen reality show Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood) have a mamaRoo for their newly adopted baby Simone, and they love it! Simone’s favorite mamaRoo motion is “car ride.” And Tisha Campbell-Martin of the TV show Martin adored the mamaRoo when she saw it at an LA event this May! And just last night, ET’s own Samantha Harris received a mamaRoo at her baby shower thrown by her colleagues and friends at ET.

Choose from six different fabric colors which remove easily and are machine washable.

Nice and all.. but why don’t parents just HOLD/bounce/rock their damned kids themselves! Too many battery operated mother substitutes out there.

some babies want to be held/bounced/rocked 24/7 and that’s just not practical. this is probably meant to help babies sleep so mommy can get other things done- clean the house, make dinner, take care of her other kids, or just be able to sleep herself.
its not meant for people to put their babies in all day long.

no i would buy this. of course i would rather be able to hold him all the time but life gets in the way like cooking and cleaning, there are some days when he just wont let me put him down so nothing gets done at all.
