Tiger Woods Writes About His New Life

It's been a year since the night Tiger Woods crashed his SUV outside of his Florida home - and it's safe to say his life hasn't been the same since.

The golf pro reflects on his changed priorities in a new essay published in Newsweek, writing that his kids Sam, 3, and Charlie, 1 1/2, now come before everything else:

Slowly, I’m regaining the balance that I’d lost. My healing process is far from complete, but I am beginning to appreciate things I had overlooked before. I’m learning that some victories can mean smiles, not trophies, and that life’s most ordinary events can bring joy. Giving my son, Charlie, a bath, for example, beats chipping another bucket of balls. Making mac and cheese for him and his sister, Sam, is better than dining in any restaurant. Sharing a laugh watching cartoons or reading a book beats channel-surfing alone. Some nights now, it’s just me and the kids, an experience that’s both trying and rewarding. Probably like the experience a lot of families have every evening around the world."

The golf pro suffered a pretty spectacular fall from grace - not to mention a divorce from his wife Elin Nordegren - after news of his many infidelities hit the tabloids last fall.

Sam, 3, and Charlie, 1 1/2, now come before everything else: whatever did his kids ever pop in his mind. When he cheated with different women. Tiger brought this mess upon himself. He cheated and tries to deny it.

What balance did he lose? screwing 15 girls on the side then coming home to his wife and kids? I hope, for his kids, that he will get real balance.
