Brooke Shields Doesn't Want Daughters To Be Child Actors
| Jan 7, 2011 by LISA ESTALL |

Having found fame at a young age, Brooke Shields doesn't want her two daughters, Rowan, 7, and Grier, 4, to follow in her footsteps. The 45-year-old actress and model would prefer they stay out of the spotlight for now.
"I would never start them as young as I did," she tells Psychologies magazine.
"For a start, my life isn't conducive to that. Selfishly, I wouldn't give up on my career to work on theirs. But if, when they have finished their education and they want to do it, I will do whatever I can to help them."
Last year, Shields appeared in a movie with Brendan Fraser called Furry Vengeance. She admitted she did the project so her children could see her work.
Brendan is a ridiculous draw and I want to do movies my kids can see. The opportunities don't come that often, especially for my age bracket. It's almost like, 'I'm not 20 but I'm not 50.' There aren't that many roles."
