Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon’s ‘Pink & Blue’ Baby Shower

Friends of parents-to-be Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon gathered at the Montage Hotel’s Conservatory Grill in Beverly Hills on Sunday (March 6) to celebrate the upcoming arrival of the couple’s twins with a pink and blue themed shower.

The festivities began when the guests of honor arrived at 7 p.m. in their black Rolls-Royce, which Nick gave his wife as a Christmas gift; and according to guests, Mariah couldn’t have been more excited.

Mariah has been anxiously awaiting her shower, and she was very excited when she arrived at the hotel,” says a source. “She couldn’t wait to celebrate her baby twins with her friends.”

The shower, which was strictly adults-only, was decorated with small cocktail tables topped with pink roses, blue hydrangeas, and plenty of pink and blue balloons.

Carey and Cannon received a number of gifts for their twins (a boy and a girl, due in April), including two handmade chairs, and two almost life-size stuffed giraffes.

“Mariah had the best time at her shower,” adds the source. “She was very touched by how nicely everything turned out and excited about all the generous gifts she received. She has been feeling a bit tired and worn out lately, but the shower was an event that she really enjoyed and that made her very happy. Now she can’t wait to meet her baby twins!”

Pink and Blue? That’s funny considering they commented not that long ago they wouldn’t be doing the pink and blue thing for their kids.

    Oh well! Congrats.

no it’s not she said that when they didn’t know the sex yet or weren’t allowed to reveal it. pink and blue are traditional for boys and girls get over it and let them celebrate they’ve always wanted children and been open about how painful a struggle it was to conceive again. they will be wonderful parents when their son & daughter are born in about 6 weeks

Don’t worry about Courtney. She has autism. She only focuses on music and celebrity especially celebrities in the 1950.
