Kate Winslet Debuts Short New ‘Do

Turning over a new leaf, Kate Winslet graces the April cover of British Vogue with a short, straight platinum blonde cut. In addition to showing off her new locks, the Academy Award-winning actress opens up about her divorce from Sam Mendes, being a single mom to daughter Mia, 10, and son Joe, 7, and refusing to do therapy.

On standing strong after the divorce: “But I’ve never been lonely,” adds the actress. “And with my kids…that remains the case. But to be in this place where I can say I really like this space. I really need to not have anyone around. It’s a surprise to discover that I like being on my own.”

On being single: “Experiencing those moments of being alone … is a very, very weird flooring and exposing position to be in when you’re just not used to it. And it’s not just being in a relationship. It’s also the fact that I grew up in a family full of people.”

On why she refused therapy after the split: “One of the reasons I’ve never done intensive psychotherapy or any of that stuff is that if there’s anything in me that needs fixing, I want to know that I can rely on my own intuition to fix it.”

That hair is so 2007 reminds me of Victoria’s haircut when they moved to US.

Talented, awesome actress. Nice to see since they are few and far between on this site.

Just gorgeous. No matter how “2007” her hair-do is.

I love Kate! I’m not sure about the bleach blond color, but she is a gorgeous woman no matter what. I still think her and Leo have great chemistry together! Too bad he is with Bar Refaeli. 😉

I kinda like it, but the cover doesn’t really show off the hair enough to make a fair judgement. I kinda miss her red hair from Titanic, it looked the most natural on her (if it isn’t her natural color).
