Look at those gorgeous curls!
Newly single mom Ashlee Simpson brought her 2-year-old son Bronx Mowgli along to this weekend's Milk + Bookies 2nd Annual Story Time Celebration held At The Skirball Cultural Center In Los Angeles, California (March 20).
Despite rumors of a brewing custody battle, Ashlee's ex Pete Wentz insists that they remain on good terms post-split.
"Ashlee's been my best friend for five years. She's the mother of my child. I have nothing but love and respect for her," he said last week, adding, "Going through something like this isn't easy but we're friends and the most important thing is to put our son first."

Kinda funny that he's never been taken to a red carpet event -- until his parents divorced. Someone looking for public support? Huh, Ashlee?
He was never this old before.
You hardly ever see her alone with him....you either saw him with pete or them out as a family. Still so sad they are breaking up. Poor kid...
Cutie. ;)
Is Ashlee trying to become Gwen Stefani now with the red lipstick platinum hair and plaid?
Homewrecker!
She wasn't alone with him...her mom was there too. Nothing wrong with that of course, but it is strange how she can't even seem to grocery shop without a friend with her. She never seems to do anything by herself, or just her and her son alone, she always needs her parents or a friend with her to do even the most mundane tasks.
