Celebrity parents attended the first ever Red CARpet event at the Rivera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. on Saturday (September 10). The star-studded event was hosted by Ali Landry, presented by SpokesMoms, and sponsored by Britax and Buick.
In attendance were a group of honorary “Car Seat Ambassadors” – celebrity moms who have shown their dedication to preventing unintentional childhood injury. They included an expectant Tori Spelling, Kyle Richards, Jessica Capshaw, Lindsay Sloane, and Constance Marie, to name a few.
Ali recently opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about the important event.
Every year, thousands of children are tragically injured or killed in motor vehicle traffic crashes,” she told us just days before the event. “In fact, motor vehicle crashes in the U.S. are the leading cause of death for children age 3 and older. As a mom, that’s a really disturbing figure. So I thought I could help by getting the word out that securing children properly is the most effective thing that can be done to protect them in the event of a crash.”
She added: “On Saturday, September 10th I’ll be hosting the Red CARpet Event in Los Angeles. Presented by my new online venture SpokesMoms.com, and sponsored by Britax and Buick, the event will be the first of its kind and will utilize celebrity parents to help spread the word about the critical importance of child passenger safety. I’ll be joined by a group of honorary “Car Seat Ambassadors” – celebrity moms (or moms-to-be) who have all shown their dedication to bettering the lives of children everywhere.”
