Motherhood looks good on Jewel!
Just three months after giving birth to her son Kase Townes, the singer-songwriter showed off her svelte postpartum body in a bright yellow dress in New York City on Wednesday (October 12). The 37-year-old Grammy winner appeared on NBC’s Today Show to promote her new children’s music album The Merry Goes ‘Round.
“I wanted to teach kids about different styles of music,” she said. “[On a lot of children’s albums] the production is horrible. You kind of want to stab your ears out with pencils… I wanted something that parents would like.”
I hit the baby lotto,” the new mom gushed. “He’s just a really sweet, easy-going little baby. I’m so lucky.”
Jewel said she produced her album with the help of the internet, which helped her to be “more of a stay-at-home mom.”
“I live in a really remote part of Texas,” she added. “My husband [Ty Murray] is a rodeo cowboy. I’m trying to figure out how to be home… but still do something I love.”
