Jon Gosselin Planning Legal Action After Arrest Of Reality Show Editor

Jon Gosselin is reeling after the October 21 arrest of William Blankinship; an editor for his family’s reality show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, who’s being charged with 10 counts of sexually exploiting a minor.

It’s news that he and other members of the TLC crew “never expected” to hear, but now, Jon tells Star that he’s ready to take legal action to protect his children – 10-year-old twins Cara and Mady, and 7-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel.

“I have contacted an attorney and I’m trying to gather all the information from the authorities in North Carolina to see if there is any evidence he has footage of our family or if he has distributed it,” Gosselin tells the magazine.

Though at the time of the interview, he hadn’t yet discussed his plans with ex-wife Kate, Jon says that he is going to contact her.

“I will write her an email because I feel this is going to explode, because it is so bad,” claims Gosselin, who says that his first priority is to find out what footage was seen by Blankinship, and whether or not he passed that footage along to others.

“Of course we filmed potty training,” says Jon. “Any parent would be freaked out by this, because the cameraman definitely shot the kids getting ready for bed being showered and being changed.”

does he forget that he and his wife allowed this? hope it was worth it…

Ya, but wait a minute. The Gosselin parents are partially responsible as well for putting their children on “reality” TV at such young ages for so many years.

The world is full of horrible people and this situation is a pity, but common sense, logic and parents that want to protect their children from risky situations would have never agreed to have their young children on TV for so very long. There is no guarantee of SAVE in this world full of perferts, no matter what your occupation or where you live. You can only protect your kids the best you can, and putting your kids out there for all the world to see is shameful.

Jon and Kate Gosselin should have been protecting their children better. Kate constantly states that reality TV was the best environment for her kids! Go figure. Shameful.

Personally I think it’s all about the money for Jon and Kate. If yo thought it was that bad, then why did you let them film your kids in the first place?

Jon (& Kate)… the time to act was when “we filmed potty training” and when “the cameraman definitely shot the kids getting ready for bed being showered and being changed.” Pedophile or not, how is any of that appropriate???

YOU signed up for that. YOU allowed it. YOU subjected your kids to that. YOU should be ashamed of yourself. If YOU really wanted to protect your kids, YOU would not have let someone film them doing these things. This is on YOU. And if this creep has photos of your kids, YOU will have to take responsibility for that.

Why is he so freaked out about it now, he and kate allowed those scenes to be filmed, this is just his way of getting back in the news and making a quick buck!

You guys aren’t getting it. They allowed the filming solely for the purpose of the show, and would have a contract that says so. If the editor has any footage saved to his personal computers or has distributed any of it in any way other than what aired during the show, then he has every right to sue. Chill out. I’m no Gosselin fan, but you’re overlooking the reality of the situation, blinded by your dislike of Jon and Kate.

They allowed them to film while potty training…. for the show??? They allowed them to film while showering…. for the show??? They allowed them to film while being changed….. for the show?

I don’t hate anyone, and the only show I’ve ever seen them on is the original special they did about raising sextuplets and twins. Sometimes, people are just blinded by their rage at how parents ALLOW things to happen to/with their children, and they act like they couldn’t have known.

Well, guess what? They should have known that filming their small children on the potty, getting changed or showering was just gross.

I just hope the kids don’t find out this could really damage them psychologically.

    The show is also edited.
If this dude has any full footage of the children undressed or what have you and uses that to his sick advantage I think Jon and Kate have every right to take action to try and protect their children.
