Mario Lopez: I Love Everything About Fatherhood

Mario Lopez is a TV star, an author, a fitness fanatic and of course a doting daddy to his 1-year-old daughter Gia Francesca, but the Extra host still finds time to give back. In a new interview with Parade.com, Mario talks about the joys of both fatherhood and his work with the Boys & Girls Club.

On his favorite thing about fatherhood: "Everything! I love seeing her in the mornings. She's in the best mood and she has a big smile. She's the best. I love it."

On his work with the Boys & Girls Club: "I'm proud to say that I'm in their Hall of Fame as an alum and I'm also the Fitness Ambassador. It's meant the world to me because I grew up in the club. When I was growing up, both of my parents worked, so it was a great place to be. It exposed me to wrestling and the arts and it just helped me stay out of trouble because it wasn't exactly the most upscale neighborhood where I grew up. Now, I'm able to give back and give my time."

On how it prepared him for fatherhood: "It kept me in the right road when I was a kid. And being blessed with great parents and strong sense of family helped prepare me for fatherhood."
