Angelina Jolie: I Prefer When I'm Home With The Kids
| Nov 27, 2011 by JENNY SCHAFER |

Mother-of-six Angelina Jolie made an appearance on 60 Minutes Sunday and opened up about motherhood, her directorial debut and her late mother Marcheline Bertrand.
Although it's not easy raising six children, the 36-year-old actress said, "[I prefer] when I'm home with the kids." And while many full-time parents would love to be shooting movies, Angie replied, "Yes, they would because it's easier," she said. "My mother was-- was a full-time mother. She didn't have much of her own career, her own life, her own experiences, her own-- you know, everything was for her children."
I will never be as good a mother as she was," the actress/director said. "I will try my best, but I don't think I ever will be. She was the most generous, loving woman," she adds, choking back tears. "She's better than me."
Angelina admits that talking about her mother is her "soft spot," but she's grateful for the time they shared together. She also hopes her mother would be proud of her directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey, which hits theaters December 23.
When talking about her good looks, Angie said, “As long as Brad [Pitt] thinks I’m beautiful…I wake up and I want to be a smarter person." She added, "But I feel like that’s certainly what I’m encouraging my girls to do."
Angelina and Brad are parents to Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and 3-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

I didn't know full time parents wanted to be shooting movies instead of being home with their kids. I didn't get that comment. Where did they get that information?
The interviewer asked that question, and neither of them were being serious. It was just to show that being at home all the time with kids is hard work, harder than doing a movie. It helps to have seen the interview to know the context.
Angelina is the best! She can do it all, with grace and style. I, and many of her fans, will never believe the rubbish in the media, paid for by Aniston's public relations team.
