Angelina Jolie Is Starving Herself In The Name Of Impoverished Children Around The Globe

Humanitarian and mother Angelina Jolie has been on blast over the past few years about her thin frame. There have been reports that she suffers from an eating disorder, she is troubled over her relationship with partner Brad Pitt and even that she is just plain vain and narcissistic, trying hard to be the skinniest girl on the Hollywood block. As it turns out, the 36-year old’s weight loss may be due to another reason entirely.

The Academy Award-winning actress – who has been on field missions around the world and met with refugees and internally displaced persons in more than 30 countries since she was prestigiously named United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Goodwill Ambassador in 2007 – reportedly “puts herself on fasts to make statements for the children she visits,” a source reveals to Us Weekly.

“‘She says, ‘If they can’t eat, I can’t eat,'” the source adds. The A-list mother-of-six “does different cleanses from around the world. It’s very dramatic, but that’s how she gets.”

Angelina – who raises children Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and 3-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with her partner Brad Pitt – is currently in New York City for the directorial debut of her new film In The Land of Blood and Honey. The famous family was recently spotted perusing through the famous toy shop FAO Schwarz.

Can’t she make a statement by doing something else?

No kidding and I am not buying it.

Not very healthy and she is actually not being a good role model for her kids (in terms of a good balanced diet and good health). She is the mother of 6 small children and she should not jeopardize her health in that way. There must be something else she can do to sympathize with the plight of poor people worldwide. Perhaps she can eat what they actually eat in a day rice, porridge etc… so dont starve yourself in far lands and other hand dont eat lavish wasteful meals instead walk a day in their shoes by eating what foods they would actual eat if they lived in that environment. Just an idea. It is good she is aware of plight of people worldwide and is willing to make a statement but as a mother her kids ; the image she portrays to them should be most important.

Honey, this is a report by US Weekly. It’s no secret they make up their stories for sensationalistic purposes. Don’t believe everything you read in trash mags.

    Yeah, I don’t believe that.

Not buying it unless I hear it from her mouth in an interview. And if she said it we would be hearing it constantly on the news channels.

ITA with the other posters who are a tad cynical about claims made in tabloid magazines. US weekly is not what I’d call a reputable publication by any stretch. Even if they said the sky is blue, I’d want additional proof.

    Nope, not buying it either.

Definetely a made up story. I don’t think she would risk her health to make a statement. She has 6 kids to raise at home so i don’t think that would be a correct way to show she cares for others.

I smell BS. Even I heard it from Angie’s mouth itself.
