Bobby Brown: "Bobbi Kristina Is Doing Much Better"

It's a difficult time for the family of Whitney Houston as they grieve the singer's death. But her 18-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina, who was hospitalized twice for an emotional breakdown after her mother's passing last Saturday, is improving, according to her father.

My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better," Bobby Brown said in a written statement Wednesday. "We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected."

The 43-year-old Don't Be Cruel singer continued: "Obviously the death of her mother is affecting her. However we will get through this tragedy as a family."

There was speculation that Brown was shut out of Houston's funeral by his former in-laws. (The couple divorced in 2007 after 15 years together.) But a source said that such reports were inaccurate, and that Brown will be attending the service, to be held this Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ.

Calm down, fool. Bobby Brown was the least of Whitney Houston's problems.

Aretha Franklin is going to sing at the funeral, according to Clive Davis who asked her to do it! And she is going to be buried next her dad! In New Jersey!
Just a update !

Shut up bastard. I hate you Bobby Brown, you´re a looser, you never sang, you never work, you only get high, do drugs, and killed her.

Never sang? Never work?

Are you retarded? He was and singing AND working when she died and working the next day (when I personally believe he should have been with his daughter), and will be singing AND working the day of her funeral.

You have to be a moron!!!! He never sang he was with New Edition as kid and ventured out on his own to have a very sucessful album and tours. And for heaven sake BOBBY BROWN DID NOT TURN HER OWN TO DRUGS SHE BEEN USING DRUGS BEFORE SHE MET HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please get your facts straight before you make these incorrect comments.

Excuse me he straightened his life out and is sober..not like Whitney who has not had a hit since 2003! So please grow up she is the addict and the comments
Are from enablers who love to blame other people when it is she Whitney who said that she does not do crack it is cheap! So do yourself a favor since the police are going after the docs who prescribed the drugs fir her! Not Bobby
Who has not seen her nor her daughter in yeas. Bobbie Kristina was her mom's best friend not Bobby

Bobby Brown is about to make a money grab by leeching onto his daughter, the sole heir to Whitney Houston's fortune -- at least that's what Whitney's mom and other family members know about Bobby Brown, Whitneys Mom has had nothing but heart break since Bobby Brown has enter the picture.

Oh, please! Whitney Houston was into drugs LONG before she met Bobby Brown. How naive can you be?

I am sad about Whitney. However, people do her a disservice blaming him, or anyone. Whitney was a rich, powerful woman when she decided to marry BB. She was older than Bobby Brown and had more money and fame. No one put a gun to her head to marry him, have a child with him or do drugs with him. Her parents probably tried to advise her, but she was grown and rich and did what she wanted to do. BB will be accountable for his own choices and deeds. Whitney is accountable for her own choices, decisions and actions. Many prayers for her recovery were said by many prior to her death. We are responsible for the choices and decisions we make, all of us. Prayers for the young Bobbi Kristina, that she recovers from this tragic loss, made worse by people maligning her remaining parent.

I don't know why y'all are doing all this bickering back and forth bobby did not kill her so stop blaming him she did not do drugs before him but that also does not mean he killed her cause she did have her own mind. We need to focus on the real matter at hand and that is she is gone now and stop focusing on her bad times and just remember the good times cause there were a lot of those.

I know that is right anonymous cause she really was not doing drugs before she met him but I think people should just forget about her bad times and focus on the real matter at hand and that is she is gone now and just remember her legacy she left behind b/c she was a very good spirited person and everyone loved her but as soon as she makes a mistake everyone is quick to judge her.

There is no compassion for the dead anymore? Whitney was a human being with flaws just like everyone else. Sadly, like thousands of others, she struggled with addiction. That does not make her a bad person. I'm sure each and everyone of us has someone close to us who has struggled with addiction to SOMETHING, whether it's drugs, alcohol, food, gambling or any other thing that has seriously compromised the way they lived their lives. She is gone now, nothing left to say. So stop tearing down a person who was a self-admitted addict who never got any enocuragement from the media...only glaring criticism and rude headlines about downward spirals. The only people who wanted to help her, it seems, were too little too late. An addict needs to help themselves, first and foremost, but without a good support system, that cannot be easy. Rest in peace, Whitney.
