Bristol Palin Lands Her Own Reality Show

Reality TV has just added a new member.

The Lifetime network has recently announced that Bristol Palin will be the focus of it’s new reality television series. The network will be launching the 10-episode run of Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp later this year which will focus on Bristol’s life as a single mother to her 3-year-old son Tripp. The show will also chronicle Bristol’s new life in her native Alaska after brushes with fame on Dancing With the Stars.

“From the first moment she was thrust into the public eye, Bristol and her son have been the subjects of a huge amount of curiosity and misunderstanding,” explains Lifetime programming chief Rob Sharenow. “This show will reveal the real Bristol Palin and her journey as a daughter, a mother and a young woman making her way in the world.”

Although there is no concrete information regarding the appearance of the rest of the Palin Clan in the series, a release claims the show will focus on the close relationship Bristol has with her parents and siblings.

Will you tune into Bristol’s new show?

Sorry Lifetime we have this show already it’s called TEEN MOM!!!!

I was a teen mom. I don’t think it defines my entire life. Is that all Bristol Palin will ever be to some people, just a teen mom?

She bills herself as teen mom, she is building a career as a teen mom. If she would work a real, go to school and raise her child and make something of her life and build a career that has nothing to do with her “teen abstinence ambassador” posturing, then the world will stop seeing her as only a teen mom. She created this persona. She has to live with the consequences.

No of course not. But this show is basically just another version of following a young mother and her child which essentially is just like MTV’s teen mom. And I agree with below poster she said she didn’t want the hollywood thing, now she does? What is it gonna be? I guess she realized she needed money so she thought basically this is the only way she could do so *shrugs*

yes, because it’s all she will be because it’s the only thing she’s ever done, aside from being the daughter of a politician. She has no talent, skills, education, or intelligence, and has never done a single other thing to warrant her “fame”. (Being on reality shows doesn’t count – she only got those because she was already famous because of her family and her teen pregnancy.)

Cable TV is a complete scouge, oh for the days when there was some competion in the television landscape, where some degree of merit was generally required to get on the air. As it is cable allows every god awful, boring, untalented, irrelevant nobody to be inflicted on the world.

I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again. The problem isn’t her (or the Snookis and Kardashians of the world), the problem is the people who support them, watching their shows, buying the hype, idolizing them. They are the ones who make this happen, and encourage the next big train wreck.

As to education, need to proofread a little bit honey or remedial English.

I will never understand why she was on DWTS, she isn’t a star. I think she is the most boring young person for TV, who in the world would watch her. She has no talent, she is ok looking, and she has a chubby body.

Whatever happened to the last reality show built around her, the one where the white unwed mother and her white baby move in w/ two black guys? The Biography Channel saw what a train wreck TV show that was and wisely decided not to air it. I’m guessing the same thing will occur w/ this newest Lifetime debacle.
