Matthew McConaughey & Family Move To Texas

Actor Matthew McConaughey and his family have bid a fond farewell to Hollywood.

The Sahara star and his fiancée Camila Alves have packed up their kids Levi, 3, and Vida, 2, and left Los Angeles, relocating to Matthew’s home state of Texas. When asked about the move, the doting dad explained to E!, “Family. I grew up here. We got children, family values, neighbors and common sense – and I can catch a green light in Texas…. I feel like a local when I’m walking around here, going down the street in my neighborhood, in my town.”

“It feels good to be back home,” he adds to People. “It feels good to have my family here, my kids here.”

The couple haven’t left LA behind entirely, though: “I’m not done with it,” Matthew says. “Thankfully, I’m able to have a home there and a home here.”

Together since 2006, Matthew and Camila got engaged last year on Christmas Day.

The kids are probably better off being raised in Texas.

Wow good for him! They definitely have the money to do so. I think the kids will have a more normal upbringing in Texas.
