Huma Abedin: “I Want People To Know We’re A Normal Family”

Former Congressman Anthony Weiner and his wife Huma Abedin gave an exclusive interview to People magazine on life with their 6-month-old Jordan.

Weiner, 47, said, “I’m very happy in my present life. The only next dramatic steps I’m planning on are Jordan’s first.”

Abedin – who is deputy chief of staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton – married Weiner in 2010.

She admitted, “It took a lot of work to get to where are are today, but I want people to know we’re a normal family. My husband did a really stupid thing.

“It was an extremely painful time. Anthony has spent every day since [the scandal] trying to be the best dad and husband he can be. I’m proud to be married to him.”

The article even states that Weiner does all the laundry and that he sought counsel – even though he doesn’t explain further.

Last May Weiner was caught sending lewd pictures of himself to several women. The result was the loss of his job. The family moved from Queens to Manhattan.

“I’ve had enormous regrets about what I put Huma through, how I let my constituents down,” Weiner told the magazine.

Can we not be a part of Weiner’s inevitable effort to drag his sorry ass, and everything else, back into public office? That’s all this is, an effort to rehabilitate his image, using his kid, so he can be something other than a stay at home dad.
