Proud mama Peaches Geldof recently shared some adorable snapshots of her smiling son Astala via her Twitter page.
In a revealing interview with Elle UK magazine, the 23-year-old mama opens up about how having a child has begun to help her heal after losing her own mother Paula Yates when she was 11.
“His birth was like a rebirth for me, and I honestly never thought anything in my life would ever be good,” she says.
“I remember the day my mother died, and it’s still hard to talk about it,” she recalls. “I just blocked it out.. I didn’t grieve. I didn’t cry at her funeral…I couldn’t express anything because I was numb to it all.”
Peaches also reveals why she isn’t angry with her mother, who was found dead in her home in 2000 after an accidental heroin overdose.
“I don’t blame her, I’m not angry with her, I understand her… I honestly understand what she was going through,” she says.
