Bethenny Frankel and Bryn stopped by a store to get a treat after school in New York City on Monday (May 6). The pair sat by the window where Bryn was seen smiling at her mom. When getting back into the stroller – Frankel made sure the 3-year-old was tucked in with her doll and a blanket.
The talk show host has opened up on her “miserable” marriage to Jason Hoppy. In an interview with People she said, “Because of Bryn, I can never say ‘I wish this had never happened. I have a beautiful child who I love so much, who is part of both of us.”
The 42-year-old Bethenny Ever After star also admitted she regrets getting married.
“In my marriage, I made a mistake. It is what it is. I made the wrong choice. But I do have my daughter, who is so beautiful and amazing in every way.”
She added, “I kind of sway between being frayed and stressed and on the brink in some ways; wracked with nerves, and then feeling OK and certain. This is my life now. Maybe that’s the first lesson I learned: to go with my gut. Because I waited a long time to see if I even wanted to be in this relationship. I didn’t go with my first instinct.”
Asked about why Hoppy is still wearing his wedding ring – Frankel replied, “It’s an interesting choice. And I don’t understand it, about the ring.”
Bethenny said making the decision to actually end her marriage was difficult, but she knew she had to get out.
E! News reports she continued on to say,“Someone said to me ‘You’re lucky if you get 90 years on this planet. Why would you spend so many of them being miserable?’ That was a defining moment. I had been trying to weigh how much unhappiness was still enough to live with every day.”
