First Glimpse of Uma Thurman’s Daughter Luna

It’s our first glimpse of Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson!

Mom-of-three Uma Thurman and boyfriend Arpad ‘Arki’ Busson were spotted with their baby girl, nearly 12 months, and Uma’s older children – daughter Maya, 14, and 11-year-old son Levon –  in Saint Tropez, France on Saturday (July 6). The group were seen enjoying the sights of the city and boating on a luxury yacht.

Our readers voted in the Readers’ Choice Awards and said the adorable tot has the “worst baby name” in Hollywood last year.

The Pulp Fiction actress explained her new daughter’s unusual moniker, saying, “My daughter [Maya] came up with the best excuse, which was that I probably wouldn’t get to have any more children, so I just put every name that I liked into [the baby’s].”

Though they have five full names to choose from, in the end Uma and Arki simply call their daughter Luna.

“We couldn’t quite agree on the name, so we call her Luna,” said Uma. “She’s lucky that way.”

Maya and Levon are Uma’s children with her ex-husband, fellow actor Ethan Hawke.

What a sweet baby. And not to be rude, but the way Uma’s hand is positioned in the third picture makes her look pregnant…

Luna is beautiful baby! She reminds me of the baby at the end of “Knocked Up” 🙂

Mmm, not the prettiest, honestly… Just like Sienna Miller’s Marlowe.

    Marlowe is a pretty baby

What a ridiculous comment. Marlowe is a beautiful baby.

It’s not a ridiculous comment – it’s someone’s opinion. Not all opinions will be the same as yours. I think Marlowe is cute but if someone else doesn’t, then so be it.

baby looks like her daddy and she is cute

But what about the unusual firstnames Arusha Arkadina Altalune? I came across this meaning for Arusha: “calm; bright the sun” (, but Arkadina Altalune? I like them all, even if they are so many 🙂 Luna for short is great too, I think, it means “The Moon” in some languages, quite poetic. Typical for Uma’s daughter, isn’t it?
