Fergie & Josh Duhamel’s “Gayby” Shower Day

Fergie and Josh Duhamel had their “Gayby” Shower in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Sunday (July 28). Celebrities such as Kelly Osbourne, her fiancé Matthew Mosshart, Julianne Hough, Adam Lambert, Lance Bass and Gabriel Aubry attended the event held at the SLS Hotel.

The parents-to-be posted photos on their Instagram accounts. Fergie wrote: “It’s gayby shower day! He’s trying to talk!”

US Weekly reports the shower – which had a  black, white and teal color scheme – was thrown by her gay BFFs Sean Patterson, DSquared fashion designers Dean and Dan Caten and celeb hairstylist Andy Lecompte.

For the adults there were drag performers, tequila cocktails from Cuca Fresca, Tallarico Vodka and Ferguson Crest Wine. There was also a pop/hip-hop soundtrack and a onesie-decorating station.

For the kids there was face painting, balloon animal fun, and treats from Dylan’s Candy Bar. Sweet E’s Bakery supplied the four-tiered cake which featured a teddy bear at the top.

A source said, “Josh walked her in and stayed with her — they are so cute and in love!”

Drag performer Courtney Act sang “Let’s Hear It for the Boy” while Rupaul danced around Fergie.

Another guest said, “It was actually quite chill and relaxed, but everyone had a really good time!”

Sounds like a really strange event

      It sound like fun.

Just call it a freaking baby shower, who cares if it’s thrown by gay, straight or bunny rabbits…sheesh. Yeah a transsexual singing at a baby shower just strikes me as a bit odd. Not saying it wouldn’t be fun, just strange for a baby shower is all.

What is “gayby”? Like gay and bisexual?

I couldn’t figure it out at first but I think its because it was thrown by her gay best friend and gay designers.

Lol, thanks. Maybe. But I still don’t get it.

I may be wrong but I think that it is a play on words because they changed the “ba” de “baby” with “Gay” (because it was thrown by their gay friends) and we have “Gayby”…
But it is a bit odd to me to rename a party with a name which is relative to the people who throw it instead of the people which it is dedicated to… particulary when it is about a babyshower because “gayby” refers to those who arranged the party instead of the parents-to-be or the baby… so it seems to me a bit self-centred and egocentrical from their friends.
But on an other hand because it is eccentric and out of the ordinary that should have pleased fergie and josh…

That looks like a super fun shower!

    They swear they’re edgy.

I don’t know, it sounds kinda tacky to me. But as long as parents to be like it, that’s all that really matters.

I wonder why my comment was deleted. I used the G and B word (as in same sex couples), and not in a negative way. That offended someone?

Apart from the lame baby shower theme, Fergie seems to be one of those celebrities that’s been pregnant forever! I wonder when she’s due.
