Shakira Shares Post-Baby Body Secrets

After maintaining a healthy diet and fitness routine throughout her pregnancy with son Milan, popstar Shakira is showing off her svelte post-baby body on the September cover of SELF — and spilling her fitness secrets.

On her prenatal fitness routine: “I did Zumba throughout my pregnancy. That helped me not gain too much weight.”

On her postpartum workouts: “Two minutes of ab work isn’t enough. I’m quite proud of my rear.” To tone her booty, her trainer had her hold a plié and squeeze her glutes 30 times.

On her healthy lifestyle and body image: “I don’t obsess over my flaws, because I see my body as a whole. Besides, I think men appreciate confidence more than perfection.” As for her diet, she had eight small meals a day (200–250 calories each). Fiber filled her up; protein, calcium, iron and fish oil built muscle.

    You know it’s nothing against Shakira but seriously those headlines are way too overrated and dumb. Really is there a ‘secret’ into how she got those abs? Is every single celeb who’s had a baby has that ‘secret’ to get back in shape? Almost all of them get the same darn post baby headline. There is NO secret. Geez, diet, exercise, surgery, you name it.

  2. Wow, 8 small meals a day. I don’t think I could do that if I tried. I am noticing a few unwanted pounds so I have been doing research on what to add to my workout plan. I actually really like Zumba so that will definitely be a part of my plan. What is the best thing to do to trim your inner thighs?
