Vin Diesel was honored with a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday (August 26). The Fast and Furious actor brought his girlfriend Paloma Jimenez and their two children to the ceremony.
He said at the event, “I never thought it would be here in public on a corner, but I guess in some strange way, 30 years ago I made my living by dancing on corners like this with crowds smaller than this.”
In his interview in May – the 46-year-old shared, “I waited a long time [to become a father] because this industry is so demanding. If you want to be the biggest star in the world, you have to be very selfish at times. Sometimes, you have to be a little late at starting a family. With all the traveling and living abroad, it took me a while [to start a family]. But it is definitely the most powerful transition in my life.”
He added, “My daughter (Hania) is my queen. My daughter is everything to me. I’m on a talk show with Jonathan Ross, and if I don’t send her a video to say where I am, then I’ll get in trouble. Becoming a father was a very powerful transition.”
