Parents are paying more attention than ever to all of the small details that make up their baby’s nursery. You’d think with their jet-setting schedules, celebrities wouldn’t have the time for that. That’s not true for this bunch. Each one has given their all to the details in their celebri-baby’s digs and we’ve spotted some trends among them!
Courtney & Mario Lopez put together a black and white oasis for baby Dominic. The most memorable detail of the room is Tempaper’s Damsel Damask wallpaper. What’s so great about this? Well, for a baby damask is perfect, but as Dominic grows he might find it a little feminine for his boyish taste. By choosing Tempaper (aha – Temp as in temporary), they can easily take it down and replace it with the wall covering of his choice.
However, this wouldn’t be a trend if only one person did it. Rewind to the birth of Tori Spelling’s 4th and you’ll find that Tempaper’s re-positionable wallpaper completed Finn’s Hollywood-esque nursery.
Most modern nurseries showcase the baby’s name, monogram or initials somewhere on the walls. Between paint, wood, acrylic and even lights, we thought we saw it all. Then Melissa Joan Hart and Giuliana Rancic took that idea one step further. Each had their little man’s monogram adhered to the side of their Petit Nest crib for a striking and modern effect.
This month, two tiny starlets already entered the world and though they live on opposite coasts, they already have something in common. Well, aside from their famous parents.
Danielle & Kevin Jonas commissioned a custom crib created for their princess Alena Rose that was inspired by Snow White, while Emily Blunt & John Krasinski chose the custom Hollywood Regency Cambas Design crib that’s made in Los Angeles. We hope to see both of these finished nurseries very soon!
Sisters Kourtney & Kim Kardashian may have very different personal fashion senses, but their nursery design style for their baby girls’ is more similar than they might think. At first glance they look nothing alike. Penelope’s nursery is sweet pink with a pop of turquoise and a simple, but modern Oeuf Sparrow crib in white.
North, on the other hand, sleeps in Nurseryworks’ clear acrylic Vetro crib, which is touted by many as a piece of art. Both girls also have a Nook Pebble Mattress, but what else do they have in common? The crib placement! The cousins’ cribs are both positioned off the walls. Penelope’s is in the center of the room and North’s is setback in front of a mirror. This is something that won’t work in small spaces, but with the proper square footage – makes a grand impression.
