Hugh Jackman and Ava braved the chilly weather after school in New York City last week. While Ava put on her coat – the actor held her backback. Hugh wasn’t at the Oscars on Sunday. Instead he was home watching it with wife Deborra-Lee Furness.
Furness said in an interview on Tuesday, “We were sitting back in my pajamas and not my Spanx for a change which was nice.”
She also was excited to hear that the Australian government announced plans to cut red tape around overseas adoptions in Taiwan, South Korea and Ethiopia.
The 58-year-old – who adopted Ava, 8, and Oscar, 13, with Jackman – stated, “I’m so thrilled that this government is honoring their commitment.”
She added, ”This will change the trajectory of so many children’s’ lives. Now families who want to go through the process won’t be scared off by it. For this to be happening after six years [of campaigning] is so exciting.”
