Angelina Jolie Partners With Stella McCartney For Maleficient Kids Collection

Angelina Jolie and Stella McCartney have collaborated on a kids clothing collection inspired by the upcoming movie Maleficent.

Stella told WWD, “I’ve always been a huge fan of Disney growing up, as was my mother, and I grew up watching all the films like most kids did. When the opportunity presented itself and I was invited by Angelina Jolie to visit the film set, I jumped at the chance.”

Included in the line are princess dresses and sandals, and edgy t-shirts and sneakers for boys and girls ages four to 14. Prices range from about $75 to $185. The collection will be available at Stella McCartney stores worldwide, Disney stores and online, and select kids’ stores at the end of April. The movie opens on May 30.

Ten percent of the sales made in Stella McCartney stores and online will benefit SOS Children’s Villages, which works to provide homes for children in need.

In a past interview Jolie explained Pax’s reaction to her Maleficent costume.

She said, “When Pax saw me for the first time, he ran away and got upset — and I thought he was kidding, so I was pretending to chase him until I actually found him crying. I had to take off pieces [of the makeup] in front of him to show him it was all fake and not freak out so much.”

Stella mccartney’s adult clothes are Awful but her kids clothes are very nice. Victoria Beckham and Jessica Alba girls have been seen wearing some really cute clothes from Stella kids line and kids Gap also had so nice stuff when they partnered up.

I think Stella needs to stop making adult clothes and stay with just making kids clothes.

Wonderful to see two high profile women lend their talent and visibility to the work of SOS Children’s Villages. It is a big charity doing good work around the world, but not very well known in America or the UK.
