A love of literature runs in the family for actress Kate Beckinsale!
After over a decade of shared bedtime stories, the Serendipity star says that her 13-year-old daughter Lily Mo has inherited her love of a good book: "I’ve been very obsessed with reading since I was tiny," Kate tells US. "My mum was a big reader and very much imposed reading on me and I’m the same with my daughter, who’s a huge reader."

Part action hero, part book worm, 38-year-old actress Kate Beckinsale recently sat down for an interview with Parade.com. The beautiful Underworld star opens up about life with a teenager (her daughter Lily Mo turned 13 last month), her passion for reading and the “constant juggle” of being a working mom.
On having a teenage daughter: “I’m literally a couple months into that. It has been largely about Bar Mitzvahs lately! I had a child young enough that it doesn’t feel too far away from my own experience. I feel like I flunked at adolescence really badly. I found it really difficult. I’m very supportive of how tricky seventh and eighth grade are for girls. I think it’s a very difficult time, but she’s doing great.”

Kate Beckinsale took a three-year break from acting to concentrate on spending time with her 12-year-old daughter Lily.
In the March issue of Women's Health UK she says, "I didn't plan on a sabbatical, there just wasn't anything I was dying to do and I have to really make the decision - is it worth me being away from my kid."
Kate Beckinsale Is Not "100% Sure" On Having More Children

Kate Beckinsale says she's not sure if she's going to have any more children. The actress, who already has a 12-year-old daughter named Lily, is cautious even though her husband Len Wiseman is for it.
She explains, "I’m not 100 per cent sure [I’ll have more kids]. I’ve had tragedy after tragedy with friends who have miscarried, so I feel for them when I’m asked this. Lily is very against it; Len is quite for it. I’d love it if Len could have the pregnancy, because I don’t feel great when I’m pregnant. So we need to figure that out!”

On her time away from work: "I was at home. We’ve got a kind of unconventional family situation, with two dads, and I’ve always been the constant parent, the one who is here. Even if I’m working, it’s me. So if anything ripples the water, then it’s important to be home. My daughter is about to be 13, and I realize how fleeting time is. I was happy to be around Lily to talk about her day when she got home."

Baby bump watch? Underworld star Kate Beckinsale was spotted walking with her family - including 12-year-old daughter Lily Mo - and their two dogs at a park in Los Angeles today (May 19). The normally uber-svelte actress looked to be sporting a mini bump...or is it just us?
The 37-year-old actress once said "maybe" to baby No. 2: "We're such a merry little bunch as we are," Kate said. "Maybe I will at some point but I feel I have everything I want. Lily is the perfect child. She is really so much fun and into the same things as me."
