Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and a friend took Sparrow, 2, and Harlow, 4, to the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday (May 16).
The kids looked really interested in the animals. Nicole even snapped photos of the giraffes. At one point, Harlow sat on dad's shoulder's while Sparrow did the same thing with a friend.

Busy mom-of-two Nicole Richie gets drop dead gorgeous for a special feature in the June issue of Glamour magazine. In the interview, the House of Harlow designer, who has kids Harlow and Sparrow, shares a few of her fave style tips and reveals why she wakes at the crack of dawn.
On her favorite time of day: "When I wake up at 5:30 A.M. and it’s still dark out. I love, love being alone. It helps me to be a better mom to my kids and a better person at work."

Fashion Star mentor Nicole Richie and her rocker husband Joel Madden were photographed enjoying some surf and sun at a local beach in Santa Monica, Calif. with their two children Harlow, 4, and 2-year-old Sparrow on Monday (April 9).
The 30-year-old socialite looked comfy after she slipped into an orange bohemian-style pantsuit and played with her kids. The family-of-four spent most of their time lounging in the sand, building sand castles, and snapping some precious family shots. When the day was done, Joel carried a tuckered Sparrow back to the car while Nicole walked hand-in-hand with her young daughter.

Nicole Richie took Harlow to play around at a cool looking park in Los Angeles, Calif. on Sunday (April 8). The 4-year-old's dress blended in nicely with the colorful sculptures. Sparrow, 2, wasn't seen with them.
The Fashion Star has said her children are unaware of what she does for a living stating, "Well, my daughter hasn't seen the show. They don't really know what I do."

Super stylish mom-of-two Nicole Richie is putting her fashion sense to good use as a mentor on NBC's Fashion Star. While the show's earning her many fans, Nicole says her 4-year-old daughter Harlow has yet to even see it!
"Well, my daughter hasn't seen the show," Nicole, who is also mom to 2-year-old son Sparrow, tells the LA Times. "They don't really know what I do."

Nicole Richie says she's not ready to have any more children with Joel Madden. The 30-year-old House Of Harlow 1960 designer is just content with having Harlow, 4, and Sparrow, 2, for now.
She tells Closer magazine, "I'm not ready for baby number three - it's not something I'm discussing with Joel at the moment, but maybe we'll have another child sometime in the future. It's a full time job taking care of two children but they mean everything to me. It's hard to balance being a full-time mom and having a career, but somehow you manage."

Former wild child Nicole Richie has traded in late nights for early mornings. The mom-of-two says she rises at the crack of dawn each day just so she can have a little bit of alone time.

Nicole Richie may not have any motherly advice for expectant mama Jessica Simpson, but that doesn't mean the 30-year-old Fashion Star mentor isn't willing to help her fellow co-star prepare for motherhood in other ways.
"I offered for her to take my kids up until she has hers," Nicole says on Access Hollywood Live. "That didn't really work, but the offer still stands because she hasn't had her kid yet."
