Bachelorette couple Trista and Ryan Sutter spent the day poolside on Sunday (February 28) with their two adorable children – daughter Blakesly, 10-months and son Max, 2.

The couple, who are currently on vacation in Palos Verdes, Calif., seemed to be having a great time as they basked in the sun, played in the sand and chatted with friends, Charlie O’Connell and girlfriend Sarah Bryce.

In a recent interview, Trista, 37, shared what she loves most about being a mother:

Everyday, I love walking in and seeing my baby girl smiling from ear to ear for me in the morning. I love getting hugs. Not that I ever want my child to hurt, but if Max is like, 'Mommy, mommy,' just knowing that I can be that person for him and be there for him, it's the absolute best thing that has ever happened to me.

Trista and Ryan, who met in 2002 on the first season of ABC’s The Bachelorette, have been married since December 2003.

"Max just shredded up the beav on skis! Fast like lightning McQueen!" he wrote on the social networking site.

Trista Sutter: Motherhood is "The Absolute Best Thing"

Though many reality TV romances have had less than happy endings, Ryan and Trista Sutter, who met in 2002 on the first season of ABC’s The Bachelorette, have been happily married for six years!

Trista, 37 – who lives in Colorado with her husband and their two children, Max, 2, and Blakesley, 8-months – recently sat down with Inside TV to chat about her marriage, life as a mother and the “hard work” that is takes to maintain those relationships.

On what she loves about being a mother: “Everyday, I love walking in and seeing my baby girl smiling from ear to ear for me in the morning. I love getting hugs. Not that I ever want my child to hurt, but if Max is like, 'Mommy, mommy,' just knowing that I can be that person for him and be there for him, it's the absolute best thing that has ever happened to me.”

On the kind of dad Ryan is: “So much fun. He is so excited for Blakesley, our youngest, to be able to play like Max is. Because he wants to get down and dirty with her. He wants to be able to take her out in the snow, and teach her how to go sledding, build snowmen, and go skiing. He is so much fun and always really lively with them. Also calming. Blakesley was crying, and he was trying to soothe her and be there for her.”

Gorgeous girls! The stars came out in Hollywood to show their support Tuesday evening (December 15) at JCPenney’s “Joy of Giving” event benefiting Friends of El Faro, which helps the Tijuana Casa Hogar Sion orphanage.

Molly Sims, spokesperson for the organization, was joined by Samantha Harris and her 2-year-old daughter Josselyn and Ryan and Trista Sutter and their 8-month-old daughter Blakesley Grace.

Samantha recently spoke to Celebrity Baby Scoop about being a good role model for Josselyn.

We all can commiserate [about mommy guilt]! It's one of the most difficult inner struggles. I try to remind myself of what a great example working and striving sets for our daughter. To see both her parents out there accomplishing goals on a daily basis is a good thing!"

Ryan and Trista Sutter, along with their two children - son Max, 2, and daughter Blakesley, 7 months - led hundreds of local parents and kids in Broomfield, CO on the Million Baby Crawl last Wednesday (November 18).

The Million Baby Crawl is a grassroots effort to raise awareness about the nation's outdated chemical laws. Advocates such as Erin Brockovich (pictured below) hope to encourage congress to pass stronger regulations against hazardous chemicals in household products.

At the event, Ryan spoke out about the toxic chemicals our children are exposed to:

I don’t know how it got to the point that it did. With as many poisons and toxins we are giving our children unknowingly, it’s probably time to take a step back and look at a more natural solution.”

Trista Sutter: "It Was Harder To Lose Weight This Time"

Trista Sutter: "It Was Harder To Lose Weight This Time"

Trista Sutter, former star of The Bachelorette, is the first to admit that taking off the baby weight is really hard work. The 36-year-old mom-of-two gained roughly 43 pounds before giving birth to her second child in April. She is now down to 108 pounds and talking about her weight loss with Life & Style. "It was harder to lose weight this time around. I gained 10 more pounds this time” with Blakesley, 6 months, than with Max, now 2.

Trista went on to say it was hard, yet rewarding to find the time for herself: “I’m in mommy mode all day long, so to have an hour to myself four times a week to just sweat it out is a little relief for me. My routine is a mix of cardio and interval resistance training.” Trista also said her diet was different the second time around. “I had gestational diabetes with Max, so I really had to watch what I ate at the end of that pregnancy. With Blakesley, I didn’t have diabetes, so I went all out — I ate everything."

After six to eight weeks of hard work, Trista started to see results. “I’m definitely my own worst critic. I’m very critical of how I look and feel, mainly because I want to feel sexy for my husband,” Ryan Sutter, whom Trista met on The Bachelorette and married in 2003.

Trista & Ryan Talk About Baby Blakesley

The Bachelorette stars, Trista and Ryan Sutter, welcomed their daughter Blakesley Grace Sutter on April 3. The former reality TV stars opened up to Life & Style about the birth, adjusting to having a new baby in the house and how they came up with the unique baby name.

On having another C-section (when their 1 1/2-year-old son Max was born, Trista was put under general anesthesia to have an emergency C-section): "This birth was so much easier. Blakesley was born three weeks early, and I did have another C-section, but I didn’t need general anesthesia. I just walked into the hospital and put my gown on, and then my doctor came in and said, “Okay, it’s time.” I didn’t know you could just walk into the delivery room, because the last time, I was wheeled in on a hospital bed!"

On the best part of the delivery: "Being able to hear her cry when she came out and then seeing her right away. With Max, I was under, and I didn’t wake up until several hours later. But this time I was able to hear her first cry and see Ryan there too."

On how they came up with the name Blakesley: "It’s a family name. Ryan really loved the name Grace. At first we were calling her Gracie, but then we decided to stick with Blakesley."

On if they are getting any sleep: "Not so much! I mean, she’s a pretty good sleeper and sometimes sleeps for four or five hours at a time. But mostly, she’s up every two hours from the time she feeds. I try to take little naps when she sleeps. I also try to sneak in some sleep when Max is with Grandma or taking his own nap. Any new parent will tell you it’s hard, but it’s expected. And it’s a small price to pay to have her. It’s definitely worth it."

On being the only couple from the Bachelor and Bachelorette shows to make it to the altar and start a family: "You know, it’s so hard to say. I will acknowledge that it’s difficult. You meet under these crazy circumstances, and then you get separated for three months, which was super hard. And I think some people just think they’re ready and then when they see the person again, they realize those feelings just aren’t there. I didn’t set out to be the only Bachelorette to get married. I just feel lucky and blessed that my life turned out this way."

Ryan & Trista Sutter Expecting Daughter

Ryan & Trista Sutter Expecting Daughter

After sharing in October that they were expecting their second child, Trista and Ryan Sutter shared with InTouch that they are expecting a little girl!

"We found out a few weeks ago. It was such a fun surprise. We went to our last ultrasound appointment with Ryan’s parents, my parents and Max and we were all in the room together when the doctor said, ‘It’s a girl.’ Everyone got so teary-eyed and emotional.”

Although Trista, who struggled to get pregnant with Max, now 16 months, said that the baby's gender wasn't as important as its health, she admits she is ecstatic to be expecting a daughter.

“I can’t wait to dress her up in cute little outfits. I’m such a girlie girl. It will be so much fun to do things like get manicures together.” Although a name has been picked out, the couple plan to keep it a secret until she is born in April.

Bachelorette Trista Sutter and hubby Ryan announced their second pregnancy exclusively to Life & Style! The couple are already parents to son Max, 14 months. Trista is three months along. The couple shared some of their hopes and fears with the magazine. L&S: How soon after Max's July 2007 birth did you start trying again? Trista: I was only on birth control for a couple of months. We thought that if it took us as long as it did with Max — two years — why try to prevent it? So we started trying in January. L&S: Were you surprised you were able to get pregnant so quickly? Trista: I was in total shock! I took a few tests, and they all came back negative. But a few weeks after Max's 1st birthday, all of a sudden I thought to myself, I don't think I've had my period in a while. So I took another test — the line was extremely faint, but it was there!
