Despicable Me is set in a happy suburban neighborhood. But the story isn’t all white picket fences and perfect families. Amidst the minivans lies a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the Jones’, hidden deep beneath this home is an elaborate secret hideout. Surrounded by an army of adorable yellow minions, we discover Gru (Steve Carell), who plans some of the world’s biggest heists. His latest plan? To steal the moon (yes, the moon!) in order to be the greatest villain of all time.
Along his wicked journey, Gru recruits three little orphaned girls – Margo, Edith and Agnes – who wind up changing the course of his life. Sure, there’s some ‘despicable’ things that Gru has done and is planning to do. But it turns out he’s just a big ‘ole softy!
This movie will entertain all members of your family, while pulling on your heartstrings. The message of the film is positive, amidst Gru’s evil plans. Good wins out over evil, with a strong does of humor and non-stop entertainment. Fun for the whole family!
Despicable Me hits theaters in eye-popping 3D on July 9th.

It seems like every few years the public is given a glimpse into the mind of actor Mel Gibson. This week, the Internet couldn’t stop talking about an audio recording of Mel threatening his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. Mel and Oksana have been engaged in a bitter press war against each other since announcing their split earlier this year.
Since the release of the tape, in which Mel threatens to burn down Oksana’s house, and utters racial slurs, Hollywoodlife.com has learned that Child Protective Services is looking into the well-being of Mel and Oksana’s 8-month-old daughter, Lucia. Sources claim that Mel shook Lucia during a violent argument the couple had on January 6, 2010.
Unfortunately, because Oksana taped the conversations, this may put her in a position in which she loses custody of Lucia. “They may decide that both parents are unsuitable and then give the baby to a grandparent,” the Hollywoodlife source said.
