Maggie Gyellenhaal, 32, a self-proclaimed wild-child during her childhood years, is amazed by some of her daughter’s prim and proper mannerisms.
The Crazy Heart star’s daughter Ramona, with husband Peter Sarsgaard, takes her good behavior very seriously: “My daughter who is 3 ½ really likes rules and likes to test,” she tells British morning show GMTV. “Will I really say no Charlie and Lola (TV show) in the morning? And she reminds me sometimes – ‘Remember mama, no Charlie and Lola today.’”
Maggie admits that she’s “mystified” by Ramona’s obedience:
I am actually just getting into discipline. My parents didn’t have a lot of rules, I was kind of wild.
Ramona is the first child for Maggie and Peter, 39, who will celebrate their first wedding anniversary this May.

She’s sassy, she’s self-effacing, she’s hilarious! Our dream BFF, Tina Fey, sat down with Daily Mail and discussed how Sarah Palin put her “on the map,” if she plans to have another child, and how her 4-year-old daughter Alice will likely follow in her performing footsteps.
On having more children: “I don’t know. I’m 39 now – I’m getting up there!”
On Alice entering showbiz: “Knowing her, I can’t imagine her doing anything else. She’s much more outgoing than I ever was as a child – I think she takes after my husband in that sense.”
On Alice being a child star: “Lindsay [Lohan] was 17 when she did [Mean Girls] and she was brilliant. But to have success and money at that age has got to be overwhelming. No one tells you ‘No,’ and I definitely wouldn’t want that for my child. I’d try to make her do theater first because you learn a real work ethic there, and we’d certainly try and make her wait until she’s done school. But Lindsay was a lovely girl,” she adds, “very smart and very funny – and I hold out hope that we’ll see some really good work from her again.”
Teen sensation Miley Cyrus had an entourage in tow at last night’s Hollywood premiere of her new flick The Last Song (March 25). The 17-year-old Hannah Montana star, who walked the red carpet with her co-star – and boyfriend – Liam Hemsworth, was also joined by her parents Billy Ray and Tish, little sister Noah, 10, and half-siblings Trace and Brandi.
Miley credits her close-knit clan with helping her to remain grounded in the midst of superstardom, recently saying, “My family helps keep me that way. We’re all close and always go to church.”
The Last Song, based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, hits theaters next week.
